“The Corsairs came to the game with two consecutive losses hoping to recover some of their lost dignity. The team was also in great need of cash to be able to get new rookies to the team.

First half was a struggle, the delfs managed to get control of the ball and made a slow move towards the endzone. The woodies tried to stop the offense but they simply had no luck, in the beginning of turn 6 there was only 2 woodies standing. Scipio Africanus blocked one of them to the ground and Horatius Cocles made it to the endzone. 1-0.
The woodies then tried to make a fast break but couldn´t get through the defence.

Second half started with a Quick Snap for the Fluters, the ball was picked up and passed to Erfahin who dodged his way towards the endzone, succesfully making two GFI, ending up one sqaure short of scoring the TD. The Fluters didn´t manage to get anymore players through, leaving the young catcher alone. Marcus Aurelius the delf thrower was the only player within range of the woodie and he did his job pushing the catcher into the crowd, picking up the ball and passing it into the middle of the field.
The next two turns was a struggle in the middle, finally the Corsairs managed to get out of the stalemate in the middle and a second TD was within grasp. The woodies managed to stop the offense and finally after 2 attempts blocking Horatius to the ground and get the ball.
A desperate attempt by the delfs to get the ball failed and in turn 8 the Fluters thrower slipped through the defence and throw the pass that would make the equalizer, luckily for the delfs the woodie lineman failed to catch the ball and the game ended 1-0.

After receiving the winnings, the Corsairs signed the promising Witch Elf talent Agrippina.
