“Nengrathal started with the ball in the rain, and ran the ball into the Hell-Lords half without enough support, allowing the Hell-Lords to knock the ball loose, and then pick it up with their Bull Centaur!
The Hell-Lords caged the ball and delivered the ball into the endzone for a 1-0 lead at half time.
In the second half the Hell-Lords received and advanced strongly, but without the ball as they batted it around on the wet slippery mud whilst the Neganthral players circled and threatened to steal the ball. However the Hell-Lords eventually (fourth turn of sure hands attempts, that is, it took 7 lots of 4+ rolls to make it) picked up the ball and again safely caged it.
With seconds to go in the match and an easy TD, the Hell-Lords risked not scoring by handing off the ball to Hobbo Slupdorgal the Worm (who was on 3 spp and 7 squares out) who almost dropped the wet slippery pigskin! Slupdorgal then pumped his legs as fast as he could (1 GFI with no reroll left) to score a second TD for the Hell-Lords.
------------
A risky last move, but I needed a skill for that Hobbo and was prepared to risk not getting an extra +1 for the fan factor roll. It was a fun game for me, but probably not so for my opponent who had some bad luck at inopportune moments.”
