A perfect start to the Season for the Knuckledusters, they led this one 3-0 at half time and would finish it 4-1.

Critics of Mr. Twahn's cloning experiment were silenced as they put on a show for the fans, scoring four Touchdowns and two casualties (including the death of Newtown's Banks Thai).

The controversy surrounding this team of historic sporting stars revived though, over the weeks leading up to their season debut, has done its damage to the clubs supporter base.

Mr. Twahn in a post game interview quoted:
<i>"I'm particularly happy with the Ablett Clone, we seem to have captured a piece of 'God' in that one..."</i>

Better luck with the rest of the season, oz. Sorry about the team crippling! :)

#4 Old Saigon – Smashed Knee (NI)
#7 Banks Thai – Dead (RIP)
Let's just get this straight from the start...this reviewer was DISGUSTED by both the food AND service provided by Newtown Takeaway! The busboys (lineman) were surley and unhelpful from the start. It was also not a good sign of the quality of the food that a busboy known as Banks Thai just dropped dead...food poisoning..or something worse? This reviewer even saw one of them foul an unsuspecting patron! The cooks (blitzers) were just as awful. One of then stormed out of the kitchen as soon he arrived claiming he had "seriously" injured himself in the kitchen and was heard shouting he may never come back unless his "niggling" injury cleared up. Sounds like a workmans comp ploy to me. Another cook went for a smoke (ko) and didn't come back til later in the evening. The waiters (throwers) did what they could to calm the patrons but the task was quickly bigger then they could handle. This reviewer even had the misfortune to see one of them trip and fall over in front of a patron who had ordered the meatloaf (ball). Quite a lazy display. Late in the evening a cook came out to deal with another customer who also had the meatloaf and he fell at his feet begging him to stay but the fellow had the wisdom to scamper home. So in closing I can't reccommend this misfit bunch of "food" shops at all. They don't even have any delivery boys (catchers) to help ease the debacle of the restaurant proper. Newtown Takeaway? Newtown "Stay"away is more like it...NO stars!
