“Our dark elves face BudSpencer's undead, who are just a DP vehicle. Featuring no wights, a single ghoul, the count, and 4 DP zombies. On the plus side they have no tackle. They get two handicaps: morley's (2 elves) and buzzing for their block/guard mummy.
They start well, their first foul -AV seriously injuring a blitzer. We then use our apo on the next turn to save a niggling injury on another blitzer who trips over dodging. Their next foul is poor, failing to break armour and getting a DP sent off. We counter by badly hurting a different DP with a block - leaving them with just 2! But they then prove they don't need dirty players, just loads of zombies: a rookie zombie steps up to the foul-plate delivering a MNG on our witch elf!
They have the ball in the count's extremely safe hands now and continue removing players with fouls, leaving us short on elves. We then manage to KILL a DP with a 1d block from a rookie elf, leaving them just one available for the game! And on turn 7 with the count only slightly protected by a rookie mummy we are able to get enough elves around him to get a 2d blitz in.. getting the POW and a stun! When our blitzer also catches the ball it means they won't be able to score this half!
We set up 10vs10 for the 2nd half, though our DP is in the KO box, receive the ball and make our one and only foul of the game (our only turn where the eye is not on the undead), failing to hurt their zombie. They bring out their last DP and badly hurt a lineelf. We get the ball through their lines to our blitzer who runs downfield. In return their mummy KILLs a guard-elf who joins their ranks as a zombie! Under pressure, we decide to score on turn 4, leaving them plenty of turns to equalise but probably not enough to win it. It's 8 vs 11 with our DP still snoozing, and they push forward well giving us almost no attempts on the ball carrier while continuing to foul right up til the last turn when they run in the equaliser.
Good game BudSpencer, plenty of blood :)”
