“The score says 2-1, but this game was a total throw away.
Vicious, absolutely vicious dice in the first half saw 5 injuries to Daughters of Sin. With 4 players left on the pitch, the score was a walk in the park - so much so, that I forgot to keep an eye on the turn counter and literally forgot to move the ball carrier within scoring distance. D'oh.
Second half, surely, with only a handful of players I could easily make up for that. Forestranger quickly uses his solitary reroll and it looks like easy street. Overconfident, I don't bother to properly cover the ball. His blitzer runs through tackle zones, grabs the ball out of a tackle zone. Instead of diligently covering, I go for the marginally risky but high-pay-off strategy - blitz the guy next to another player who can block and, after that, even if the (blodge) blitzer is still standing I can surround him. The blitz needs a gfi - which eats a reroll - and double skulls are rolled. The blitzer heads for the corner. No problem, I have players who can reach. I'll just do a block first... I click on the wrong die, immediate turn over. By the time he scores its turn 4, and I've eaten my rerolls chasing him down.
Ridiculous... embarrassing... idiotic. Some of the words that are appropriate here.”
