The game started off with a good note for Schola, with BH rat on the first turn. Rattus saw some bad luck come in on their second turn, with star runner Federreto failing to block successfully and falling over stunned at the feet of a mob of Chaos players. A quick boot scoot later and the one turner was languishing in the KO box. Turn 4 for Schola saw the ref kick Pecus III out of the game for a blatant foul (5 assists and the closes other rat 6 squares away!), which in turn gave the rats time to setup a screen to stop the Chaos team getting through. By the time Dominus Mortifer neared the line there were only 6 rats left on the pitch, and 7 chaos. No matter how hard we tried Garicin Shade refused to go down, and just kep positioning himself better and better to prevent the TD with his sidestep. Fortunately, Mortifers steady feet easily dodged him out of trouble and carried him over the line. The KO rolls were bad for the rats, leaving three in the box, including the one turner, and only 1 turn to go before halftime. As the ball was kicked off the crowd rioted, turning the clock back and leaving 2 turns for the rats to try to equalize. Shaden tried to run through the Chaos blockade, but stumbled on the second dodge, losing his feet and ending the turn.
The start of the second half was still not good for the rats, and steadily got worse. Federetto left himself open for a blitz after the rats first turn, and he soon found himself in the injury box, hurt enough to missing the next game as well. An easy dodge for a linerat blitzed the cover off Rotolk, who received a perfectly passed ball from Zapkaster, and then ran it over the line for the equalizer TD. This is where things suddenly went awfully wrong for Rattus Lutreolus. The KO box again refused to clear, leaving only 9 rats to take the pitch. Rapidly being reduced down to only 6 on the pitch broke the rats, who then ran away as fast as they could. Diripio II however was so excited to have a gutter runner on the floor at his feet that he refused to stop kicking while the rest of the Chaos team covered the ball carrier to prevent mishaps.
In all, coach Barre was tremendously unlucky in the second half of the game, leading to an easy win for Schola.
