A fun game vs. a fun opponent. The luck and casualties pretty much says it all.

The Crushers received, caged and moved up the left hash. In what was to be fairly indicative of the whole match, TWO elves got cas'd on the FIRST turn. Playing man-down the whole game, Mossbeard made a serious game of it. The first half drive stalled when a ST4 blodge sidestepper got a tz on the ball and refused to go down. (Crusher management has decided to address this problem by training two players in how to tackle!).

After spending three or four turns trying to dislodge the tenacious blitzer, Fatechange Windmaster decided to just dodge out of there and continue the drive, scoring on T8.

It looked like the elves were set up for a desperation OTT, but the game was held up for injury time allowing them two turns to score...which they had no problem doing!

The elves received in the second half seriously undermanned, but still managed to score very quickly. (A whole lot of blodge and no tackle on my end). The Crushers got the ball back and moved steadily towards their 2nd score by T5...opening the door for the Dodgers to win the game but still giving themselves a chance at victory.

The Dodgers pressed downfield in another pass attempt while the Crushers moved to mark their receivers and pressure the backfield. The elves finally failed a critical dodge though leaving the ball carrier (a rather inexperienced chap) exposed.

A CW and ST4 beastman collapsed on him, and despite a valiant attempt by the elves to prevent the go-ahead, Cleftchin Foulblood managed to scoop up the ball for the game winner.

A great back-and-forth game with lots of highlights. A few less casualties for Chaos probably would have meant a loss, but it was meant to be. Good luck Mossbeard, thx for the entertaining game.
