“What a messy game ! The orcs threw knockdown after knockdown, we were very lucky to come away with only two 'minor' injuries.
We had some good fortune in the first half to turn our opponents over when their thrower failed to pick up the ball and was left slightly vulnerable.
Only to have the crowd go against us at the restart, a pitch invasion taking out my Ogre, 2 blitzers and a lineman from our team, and a solitary orc, obviously this is understandable from an orc home game!
The second half was an utter failure, a terrible setup from me left my team exposed to the counter attack, then my catchers difficult attempt at a catch was missed and left for the orcs to pick up, a death (saved by apothecary)and a knock-out by the orcs gave them overwhelming numbers to drive forward, a last ditch attempt to harry their ball carrier failed when my player knocked himself out after a failed dodge.
A restart which saw our side feilding only 7 players with three turns to go deciding to shield the ball and play out for a draw.
Our first non-defeat in ranked, but a difficult next match to come.”
