“A large crowd turned out to see the Silver Wolves 2nd match. The Wolves fielded 11 men, as Borgdur passed a late fitness test, and the new lineman Heeder Spiritguard took to the field for the first time.
However, with a tough previous game the High Elves were also down to a possible 11 players... a situation made worse when two more players were "running late", and missed the first drive.
In fact numbers played a big part in this match, as the Wolves took the advantage. This advantage was increased by the referee sending off one of the Lords, and Necroscope Lifetaker landed another elven player in the doctors waiting room.
Some careful play, and tactical use of rerolls led the Wolves to a comfortable 3-0 win, with the linemen of the team scoring two TD's and making one casualty. Cerbie Swiftfoot took away valuable experience from the game, learning how to sidestep... but fan favourite Borgdur Surefist's offensive play meant he was nominated the norse Star Player!
Both sets of fans obviously want to see more of this kind of game though... a poll suggests more fans wil be back next time.”
