11th game vs Stormstad Thunder (Norse). Redheads from the north, always difficult. The Norse had first drive, but their minotaur errored early in the turn leaving the the team in a moment of chaos. Like the hard training thaught the Alps; move fast. They took the chance and rushed towards the ball. Klaas managed to pick it up and they embraced for impact. The crazed redheads rushed in, took down Klaas and their thrower got a hold of the ball. Kees stripped him off the ball and a big rumble began. But the harsh training made the Alps a little weak. Bart Piet and Steffan were quickly KO'd and the started to loose the upper hand. Virgil wasted the small chance of tding and saw from on the ground how the opponent was sure of a TD. 0-1 end of first half.
Our drive started with a fumble from Jaap (picking up fail) near the middleline. The norse blocked him onto the ball and it was scattered into the crowd, luckily it was Alps fans so they threw the ball on our half. Virgil rushed to the ball but when he turn around to see what to do next he saw his team loosing the rumble. The Alps quickly retreated towards Virgil and stared a new line of defence. It held, but when Klaas was forced onto the ground in his own blits, it was crumbling. Virgil had to dodge an incoming tackling norse and he knew he had to act quickly. He rushed to Kees and told him to make a run for it. And so he did. Wubbe was the only providing some backup. The northlings came rushing in and they managed to down him but were to ambitious and tried to pass it away immediatly, and that failed. More rumble for the ball followed. The Alps couldnt not withstand the bashing minotaur and most of the rumbling resulted in KO's for the Alps and there was nothing they could do to win. 0-1 Loss. Well played by the coach but the players failed too often.”
