A match ill remember for some time, some reasons good, some bad, but thrilling none the less

Walking into the match i understood that against a 5DP team i knew what i was in for, so when he got the ref on turn one, on top of a blizzard for the weather, i prepared for a mass gravesite, fortunatly that wasnt the case, in the 8 turns of fouling, it was KO's at best :)

Within the first few turns it was fairly clear i had the speed and agility advantage, so totally exploited it, and by turn 3 i was stalling for the TD, lasting long enough to make it difficult to make it back to 1-1, but Bud surely tried :D

Going into the 8th turn i had made the mistake of letting his ghoul have an easy route for a score, all he had to do was block one guy out of the way and it was home free...even the reroll kept my main man standing, meaning in the blizzard it was 3+ 3+ 3+ for the TD, good fortune and alot of luck saw that suffer and we went into the second half still at 1-0 (I still dont know who was watching over me today, but it all fell right when it needed to)

Second half was, in my eyes, desperate. Having never held a lead in a ranked tournament into the second half, i threw everything at trying to stop him, one main point was when i had a straight blitz on his ghoul, but being so hyped up as i was, i forgot to realise he was strength 4...end result = fail

Then it really was desperate, for 4 turns i threw countless dark elves into his players, trying to induce a mistake, serpenthelm paid the price for my mistakes, and waveharp suffered immensly, but their sacrifice was not in vain.

Turn 15, his wight was poised to make a late TD to force us into overtime, it was the last chance i would have, one assist and a witch blitz was all i needed, divine guidance is how id describe it, no dice roll failed me that turn, as if someone was wishing it on, he fell down, the ball landed to my dirty player, he passed it down, and in the space of a turn i went from down and out overtime hopeful to the second round, suffice to say i went mental :D


Id like to personally thank bud for this match, its exciting on my part having to give everything i have to a matchup, and bud forced it out for as long as possible, on any other given day he would have thrashed me, but today something was watching over me, no idea what, doubt ill ever know, but we survived.
