“Was a cracking first half. I quickly lost three players and was faced with the prospect of being beaten on before a turn 8 score. Fortunately, the wizard came up trumps with a fireball on his three ag4 blitzers, downing two (one SI) and allowing me to reach and down the ball carrier. Ball went loose and it looked like I'd score but Mad used the wiz well to stop that. Then it looked like Mad would score as he broke away having gathered the ball but I managd to reach and stop him and then my two ag 4 blitzers exchanged a pass and the blitzer Mad niggled in a warm up match dashed home for sweet revenge and a vital score.
Second half was more predictable. With no wiz to worry about and only two tacklers my blodge thrower was able to shield the ball whilst my hitters ground down his team. After a couple of early cas I had a numerical advantage and made it count for 2-0 in turn 16.
A really good game (first half prob the most exciting I've been involved in) and probably decided by the use of the wizard working out so well. The niggled DP will be a loss against Emphasy (assuming he wins) but at least I have a team to put into that match.
