“A brave challenge from an elf team against a goblin team ranked 56 point above them. Started so well virsus as a handicap meant the goblin team would be without both trolls, there ag4 goblin and another goblin.
Starting off 12elves vs 11 goblins.
After failing a throw in turn 1 the goblins then had 3 players Ko's and the elves managed to pick up the ball untill the ball carrier tried a foul and was sent off. leaving it 11v11. but 11v9 on the pitch in favour of the elves.
In goblin turn 2 the first move was a goblin dodging into 2 tackle zones to pick the ball up passing to more dodge rolls before successfully handing off to a team mate who then single diced powed the final elf to be 6 spaces from the end zone. Passing to more dodge rolls another goblin fouled the powed elf BH him. which turned out to be the only elf casuality for the game. Although the goblin was also sent off. leaving it 9v7 in favour of the elfs
elf turn 2 started with a successful blitz which took out the ball carrier. 3 blocks from the elves resulted in another ko and the 3rd foul of the match resulted in a Bd goblin leaving them now down 5players to 9.
Goblin turn 3 was a dodge into a tackle zone to pick up the ball and score to take a 1-0 lead. only 1 of the 4 ko'd goblins returned leaving them setting up 6v10.
elf turn 3 was not very eventful 3 blocks and 3 prones a simple pass to a catcher leaving him to move 3 spaces form the end zone
in goblin turn 4 a St3 goblin only managed a push back on the ball carrier. but 9 successfull dodge rolls now meant the ball carrier was now in 3 tackle zones.
in elf 4 after moving an elf to take away the assits the catcher managed a succesful pow on one of the goblins then scored for the 1-1 equaliser.
in goblin turn 5 they were back to 8v10. however the elves were allowed to change there set up on the kick off after a comp pass a goblin tried 1 to many dodge rolls and stunned himself a couple of spaces in the elf half.
in elf turn 5 some successful blocking resulted in an SI to a goblin but ended soon after after a failed pass attempt.
goblin turn 6. a goblin managed to pass 4 dodge rolls and pick the ball up in atackle zone leavign himself 8 spaces short of the end zone. before a team mate then failed his first dodge attempt Ko ing himself
elf turn 6. the ball carrier was blitzed and Ko'd scattering into the arms of an elf which had already moved leaving the goblins down to 5 players (4 currently prone) against the elfs 10.
goblin turn 7 ended with the first move being a failed dodge
elf turn 7 ended with the first move being a hand off which failed.
goblin turn 8 invloved 4 successful dodges to get to players on the only elf player in scoring range. another pick up in a tackle zone the third so far this game from a goblin. who then tried a throw to an empty space only to fumble the ball.
elf turn 8 was the best yet after not noticing the goblin was st a blizter blocked him only to roll skull to KO himself for the turnover and end of half.
the second half started 9v7 in favcour of the elves.
a blitz on the kick off and 6 successful dodge rolls meant and a catch meant the goblins had the ball 7 spaces from the elf end zone.
elf turn 1 a badly hurt from the first block and the a blitz on the ball carrier meant the ball was now loose. an elf successfully picked up the ball only to attempt a throw only for it to be intercepted by one of the 6 remaining goblins
goblin turn 1 a few more successful dodges and a pick up and 2 passed gfi left the goblins 2-1 up.
they then set up down 6players to 10.
elf turn 1 a bad kick meant the elfs got the ball from a touchback and also managed to ko a goblin leaving them 10v5 up.
goblin turn 1 a goblin tried a single dice block on the ball carrier which invloved 3 dodge rolls and 1 successful gfi before only rolling an arrow. he then Ko'd himself trying to gfi again. leaving the elves 10v4
elf turn 2. 2 players moved with the ball carrier towards the end zone while the reaming 4 ganged up on the ST3 goblin to SI him. a failed apoth meant he was back to ST2.
goblin turn 3 ended with the first move being a failed dodge
elf turn 3 a hand off for a touchdown for the 2-2 equaliser
the elves then set up 10v5.
goblin turn 4 started with a successful 1 dice block proning an elf. another picked up the ball and completed a quick pass. the remaining 3 goblins between them managed to pass 6 dodge rolls betweeen them to help support the ball carrier as much as they could.
elf turn 5 4 blocks and 4 push backs meant the ball carrier managed to kepp hold of the ball but was now in 4 tackle zones.
goblin turn 5 3 successful dodges and a gfi from the ball carrier meant the goblins agian took the lead 3-2 depsite being down to 5 players
the elves set up 10v6 only for the goblins to get there 2nd blitz of the game.
however some poor dodging meant they failed to take advantage.
elf turn 6 4 blocks resulted in no more than prones and after a successful pick an elf failed a hand off.
goblin turn 6 ended with a failed dodge on the first move.
elf turn seven after a hand off resulted in the 3-3 equaliser.
a bad kick resulted in a goblin steaming towards the end zone in there turn 7.
turn 8 from the elves resulted in proing enough goblins so that none could score and recoving the ball.
goblin turn 8 ended with a failed gfi from the first goblin.
a detailed report but the efforts of the goblin player deserved it a 3-3 draw after spending most of the game with under 7 players. I cant blame bad dice rolling from the elves jsut some amazing dodging from the goblins. i look forward to a rematch.
