“Kondor crossed the pitch and complemented coach ARW on a well coached match. This was one where Kondor was of mixed feelings, but it was also one where he felt his team could have pulled off a win.

The first half started rough for the Guard with three elves badly hurt in the opening minutes. Still, they managed to jar the ball carrier and finally scoop up the ball. Only several GFIs by the Heirs made it possible for them to reach and pop the ball loose. This fortuitous play allowed them to pick up the ball and send it the length of the field to Bloodfeed for the go ahead score.

The second half saw a gift pitch invasion that easily equalized the score, but then things got interesting. A desperation dodging blitz by the Badass popped the ball out and a chant from the elf faithful began. Drop...That....Ball. Surrounded by elves, the runner got nervous and did exactly that with the ball bouncing out in the open. Once again, the elves scooped it up and dashed for the endzone leaving the not so slow dwarfs behind. Again, after 4 more GFIs, the blitzer and a helper reached the fleeing dwarf knocking the ball loose.

With only moments left, he took a leap between the dwarfs, picked up the ball and ran for the endzone again for the go ahead TD. Yet again, Nuffle is fickle and he tripped on the turf going for the score.

Well played ARW. I will take a rematch soon. If I can keep elves healthy early in the match, I may get a win. (Still not counting on it.) ”
