“The Recruits came to the game with only 9 players. It turned out to be mission impossible against the Silver Wolves. Gracchus got Ironman as handicap and that saved him more than once when the norse players were pounding him hard in the middle. I was forced into desperate attempts to score and couldn´t pull it off. Nuffle was turning me the back, I don´t know how many 2+ I failed but they were truly legio.
But I must say I like the fans, in spite of getting the shit kicked out of me they stood by me and gave me +1 in FF while the Silver Wolves got -1, everyone likes an underdog!!!
The winnings was just enough to hire a rookie lineman Cicero!
“It was a tired, frustrated and few in number dark elf side that took to the field against the norse Silver Wolves.
The norse may have taken pity on them, refusing to put the boot in at many an oppurtune moment. The dark elf fans appreciated this... but the norse fans didn't.
No matter what te fans thought, this game turned into a little bit of a stroll in the park for the norse, despite the valiant efforts of the New Recruits of Albion team. Silverbear failed to complete a hatrick of TD's, while Orenthal dealt the only severe blow of the match... leading just to a Badly Hurt.
Zaksoth Longarm gained valuable experience from this game, as he learnt the Sure Hands skill, while the Silver Wolves kicking accuracy should be a little better now that Necroscope managed to pick up the Kick skill. However Silverbear was obviously frustrated by the lack of fouling, so he picked up the Dirty Player skill.
All in all a good match, if a little one sided. Perhaps the dark elves will come back fighting! ”
