“Kondor crossed the pitch and complimented Coach Wyrmtainter on a well coached match. His brave wood elves came into the game a bit apprehensive after several matches against heavy hitting teams.
Today's match would be a rough one as Nuffle refused to give an inch. The first half saw the dwarfs take the opening kick off and cage up. They then moved down the pitch doing what dwarfs do best. They pounded whoever got in their way. The elves did their part, and tried to clear as many dwarfs from the pitch as they could. That is until the ref spotted a foul and sent the dirty player from the match. At the close of the half, the beards scored to go up 1-0.
Half two saw the elves take the ball and proceed to do what elves do best. They set up for a pass for the tie. Yet, here Nuffle stepped in and greased the ball. As it dropped to the thrower's feet all he could do is cringe at the on coming blitzers.
The remainder of the match was a grind in an attempt to get a hold of and keep the ball. In truth, this one should have been tied up. The elves did a wonderful job in the closing seconds to jar the ball loose, then clear away nearby dwarfs. The only problem was that butterfingers. In he came again to pick it up and make a short pass, but the slayer must have been too intimidating, and he simply kicked it before him.
What can a coach do? You call the right plays, and get the fellas in place only to have the rookie mess it up. Sometimes Nuffle simply gives you the finger.

Thanks for the match coach Wyrmtainter. I hope you have no hard feelings. Honestly, I was not trying to rub salt in the wounds or be a general prick. As even though things had not gone your way, I knew you had a good chance to pull off the tie. Honestly, I expected the tie. You coached it perfectly, but in this game of dice it just fell my way at the right moments.
Again, I hope there are no hard feelings. Ask anyone I've played. I talk a lot. Win or lose, I'm always talking. There is humor to be had when any elf drops the ball. Mine or my opponent's.
Rematch any time. If you want a go at it in ranked, you can pick the teams. Seriously though, well played coach.”
