“Kondor crossed the pitch and congratulated Coach Faxa on a well played match. The dwarfs entered the match with a lower TS, but they certainly did not play like it. The elves were carted off of the field in droves, and even the apothecary failed. Faxa coached the match brutally and nearly perfectly.
Indeed, as was said, luck is a part of the game. When the elf used dodge skill to get away from a non-tackle dwarf and ended up hurting himself, it was a fast signal that this game was not meant to be. In this match, early luck was the only difference in the game.
The guard did their best to play heroically, and for a split second it looked like they might equalize, but it was not to be. The only coaching issue Kondor had in the entire match was when the Guard was down to 4 players and the dwarfs went out of their way to set up a two troll slayer push to send a single elf crowd surfing. At that point in the match it was not quite necessary. Normally a very cool and brilliant play. In this case... lame.
As Kondor reflected on the match, part of him wanted a quick rematch. He felt like this was a coach he could beat. The other part didn't because of a couple of questionable plays. Who knows. We will play that one by ear.”
