It was obvious that it was going to a tough match for the Knights as the Wingnuts had a nice one-turn-scorer. It was easy for the welfs to move the defence so that Crimini could make his way to the end zone with the ball. On the first turn the first td was scored. 0-1! Knights build a quick passing play and scored an equalizer on the third turn. 1-1!
Another kick-off. A blitz! The ball was stolen by the Knights and taken to the opposing end zone on the fifth turn. 2-1! Once again, Crimini was unstoppable and scored on the fifth turn. 2-2!
Another kick-off. The offence began nicely, but the crucial pass was intercepted! The Knights had no chance of stopping the woodies from scoring again. The first half ended 2-3.
The second half. Once again a quick passing play was seen and an equalizer scored on the second turn. 3-3! Oh, well, once again Crimini took the ball to the Knights' end zone within 1 turn. 3-4!
The delves didn't give in. Once again an equalizer was scored on the fourth turn. 4-4! This time it took two (Hey, not one! ;) turns for the woodies to score. 4-5!
It looked strongly that the match would end 5-6 but then happened a very dissapointing riot, which took only one turn, but it was the crucial turn missed. The delves couldn't score in one turn, so they preferred to defend the ball.
The visitors won the match 4-5. The Knight coach was quite pleased with the result. "It was a satisfying final score versus one-turn-scorer team", said the coach, "tho was very dissapointing that there wasn't enough time for the equalizing td."
It was quite even match, tho Knights obviously couldn't pick or pass the ball without rerolls today. Man of the match was Dead Parrot. Winnings? Winnings?! Let's not talk about the winnings... :)
