#5 Finrod Arcamenel – Smashed Knee (NI)
I've never played Lizzies before, so I was kinda exited about this match.

It didn't start good. During the first turn, Finrod got his knee smashed by a rookie Saurus. Apparently the Apothecary was taking a lunchbreak and failed to do anything about it. The next man to go went out in turn two, my Block/Dodge/Sidestepping Dragon Warrior who yet again got Badly hurt by an unskilled Skink's block... I'm sure he's great in theory, and I can't wait to actually use him in a game. My attempt to snatch the ball had failed, and the Skinks picked it up, ran away from my lion and passed it on to a friend, who ran for a TD.

We were at large unable to stop each other's offensive drives. The weather was very sunny, but when has a true Elf coach ever let that spoil a good round of Elf ball? Thrower passing to thrower is nice, but I had to do better.

Even though I knew the crowd would get fits, I dodged out and made the compulsory long pass. The Crowd went nuts again like in my last game, and they rioted for the rest of the half.

During the second half my KO's mostly stayed that way, and for the better part of the half I was down to 9 men. Got an easy TD yet again (gotta watch that prehensive tail!, though) by some more Elf Ball.

The Skinks equalized through their drive, and my one rerolled block at the ball carrying skink failed. After that it was easy for them to blitz my Elf away and run for a TD.

The third drive took the compulsory two turns, and was made exactly like the others, apart from Nienna getting taken out to lunch, and a LineElf had to fill in for catching duty, after having run away from a "date" with the nearby Kroxigor.

Then a heatwave struck, and even though the Lizzies got hit harder, I still were down to 7 man to stop their last drive. And then disaster struck, and the Lizzies got a touchback from a bad kick. (which placed the ball in the huge skinformation at the line of Scrimmage). I knew it was a goner then, but tried to stop them to no avail. At least the judges got it right, who secured me the draw and awarded my MVP to my thrower. He got strong arm, probably from all them long passes that he can make on a 2+. now :)

An exiting game, though my men got beaten quite easily. The Lizzies were quiete unlike any other team I've played, and I truly had to rethink my strategies.
