#2 'Sneaky' Pete – Smashed Knee (NI)
#4 'Dirty' Dan – Smashed Knee (NI)
As with most Ork/Goblin teams, no one took them seriously until they survived to play at least their third game. After a win and a loss against a goblin and chaos team, respectively, the coverage started in their third game against an ogre team called "Poker Unlimited".

2/23/09 -- Their third game started with a nuclear bang on the kickoff play, as the team troll "Tank" Swampgut ran down the field and picked up "Sneaky" Pete, a goblin runner with the ball, and threw him halfway down the field. A shocked Pete amazingly ended up on his feet and ran the last few yards to the end zone, scoring the Sluggas' first and only score of the game in a stunning one-turn score. The rest of the first half was a daring defensive struggle by the Sluggas in which the ogres scored in the last few minutes. The second half was a bloody back and forth scoreless struggle that ended up in a tie game. Unfortunately for the Sluggas, this second half led to the career-limiting niggling injuries to two of their goblins, including the hopeful prodigy Pete, who scored in the first turn of the game, as well as an injury to the team's only thrower that threatened to have him miss the next game as well. It looks like the Sluggas will spend the next game or two in recovery. On a positive note, the Sluggas picked up another blitzer, "Fasta" Redwunz, after the game who may prove to be a valuable future asset to the team. It seems that the Sluggas may focus more on the big boyz in the future.
