“MIB was once more called into action to face the threat of the Undead, only time would tell how they would fare.
MIB attacked first, but some mistakes in the attack delayed things somewhat before they finally broke through for 1-0. The undead launched their own attack, but an array of errors from both sides left the position in the balance until a Field Agents broke away with the ball and with it 2-0, which is how it remained at the break.
After the break the Undead attacked once more, but once more mistakes were being made everywhere, until the undead found some space and scored for 2-1. Needless to say the next MIB attack was plagued with the same, as agents got pulled into a melee, both sides having the chance to take control and both failing, so 2-1 was how it ended.
With another 50k revenue coming into the agency it was finally time for Chief Gray's memory to be wiped, so that he could take his retirement, unaware of the battles he would have faced.”
“Our undead face DukeTyrion's skaven- they are thoroughbreds with 52 games and only 12 losses. We get two handicaps, giving iron man to our block/tackle ghoul (on the hunt for gutter runners!) and bonehead to their best GR (dauntless/block). We've a mummy MNG'd so a bit less strength and MB than normal.
We kick and it looks like they are trying for a quick touchdown, running players up one side and then the other, outwitting our attempts to slow them down and eventually getting the touchdown on turn 3 with one of their GRs.
We set up and use our DP for the first time on a GR- breaking his neck... -AGI is as good as a kill against him so the apo is brought in to save it. Our DP is however, sent off :( They rush through players but we're able to cover them well (badly hurting a linerate) - they counter by KILLING a zombie! He gets back up again but the ref decrees that he was definitely dead at one point there and must return to our reserves box!
At this point we're having some really epic fails at holding the ball while they are matching us for failed key GFIs.. that is until we fumble a throw upfield and capitalise to steal the ball and throw it down for a 2nd touchdown!
And once again we are a shambles - while we have the ball we can't get receivers through and they are in fact able to blitz 2 GRs after our blodge ghoul with the ball... but fail to knock him over, fortunately!
It's 11 vs 11 for the 2nd half and we're 2-0 down... not looking good! And injury time means the half will only last 7 turns. This time we do (slightly) better at getting the ball, with both our AGI4 ghoul and one of their GRs rolling double 1s beside the ball before we throw it upfield to our wight who runs forwards to score on turn 5. Just a couple turns left to try for the equaliser!
We've 11 vs 9 and stack up the LOS to force some dodges.. though a quick snap solves that problem! They run the ball through, right next to the sideline... but with their reroll used up they don't get the 2nd part of the cage through! We're able to blitz with our iron tackler and take him down! We grab the ball with a ghoul- now we just need to hand off to our waiting AGI4... whoops! We're not going to have time to score the equaliser now!
Great game - full of failure on both sides of the pitch though the GRs ran amok as ever and we just couldn't hurt them. Well won DukeTyrion!”
