“This game started off nicely, with a pitch invasion that stunned or knocked down about half the guys on the field (on both teams). This also created a fairly large hole in the dark elf formation, which the humans used to run in the first touch down.
This was definitely a learning experience for cgmark, but a fairly gentle one, as none of his players were mauled too badly. Additionally, the cheerleader paid for herself, when the cheering fans granted the Dark Elf team a free reroll.
Also, we had the momentous event of a weather change, from "nice" to "nice".
Lessons to take away from the game:
- The ogre can barely be counted on to exert a tackle zone, let alone hit anyone. On the plus side, this means that you can just leave a single player to tie him up, and he's effectively a 120k lineman.
- The catcher is great at block assists. I should probably let him have the ball too, once in a while.
- Keep your guys away from the sideline when you can, especially if they've got the ball. The guys in the crowd aren't your friends. :)”
