“Our undead face Jebe's chaos- plenty of skilled beastmen to contend with here, including a str 4 claw/block one!
They start well, killing one of our zombies on the LOS with a DP foul. But we strike back, MNG'ing their super beastman - and they use the apo to save him! When they go for a long sprint for a handoff to a waiting runner they roll double 1s on the GFI- giving us the chance to seize the ball and leg it downfield! By turn 4 we could try and GFI to score, but decide we can afford to stall instead. That very turn they engineer a great blitz that POWs our ball carrier, and take down or out any other players of ours nearby. It really looks like trouble as they have a line of players ready to get the ball towards our endzone... but with no rerolls they fail the pickup! We grab it again with our +AGI but he's all alone. We also now re-foul their STR4 claw, breaking his neck for -AGI! They easily tackle over our ghoul on the ball and then gang foul him for a KO. Now no one will be able to score, but with the ref no longer watching us we are free to gang foul a CW- KO!
Half time and we push forward strongly, stunning with our first foul but then KILLING a CW with our 2nd (zombie sent off) - our coach gleefully raises him as a zombie! They knock over our ghoul with the ball but with their troll repeatedly being stupid we have plenty of space and grab it again and then run down to where they can't catch us. We stall out the rest of the half as we have a nice numbers advantage, and despite Jebe's brave attempts to do some damage they don't have much of a chance. We make it 1-0 and give them a single turn's revenge against their newly raised CW... they line up for a gang foul... but then fail a completion attempt for a skillup and won't get to try for the foul!
