#6 Scavenger – Dead (RIP) #15 Grraah! – Dead (RIP)
“Calling this match "brutal" doesn't do it justice. The weather started out as sweltering, so both teams were randomly losing players before kickoffs, my team had three deaths, one of which I managed to regenerate the player back, and both teams were sending players to the casualty and KO boxes. We had a couple of kickoffs with 7 vs 8 or 6 vs 7 players. Yeesh.
More than anything else, I'd say that rerolls won this game for me. Over the course of the game, I got two kick-off results that added a reroll to my pile; my opponent only had two per half, and seemed to use them up early and often. Over the course of the game I think I had 8 rerolls to his 4, which let me play a little bit riskier than my opponent could afford to. And I still only pulled it out towards the end of overtime.
“It started out just like any other match that happens in the middle of a desert. After the first touchdown, neither side was able to field their entire force.
The first half ended in 1-0 Black Freighters, with them recieving the ball at the beginning of the second. Things were looking grim for the Oath as the battle drew on in the heat, until at the beginning of the second half, Khorne's Chosen invaded the pitch and incapacitated half of the Black Freighters!
That roll, in addition to a lucky play on turn 8 in the second half, drove the game into overtime. I would like to blame the loss on the lack of re-rolls at the end, but those ghouls are just a little fast for the beastmen.
The Oath to Khorne does not believe the man in the black and white stripes when he says that we lost. We put two of the unclean ones down, and would have had a third if we had just hit that mummy harder. And we only lost one pathetic beastling.. and he was sacrificed in order to bring us an extra general!”
