“Brittany started the match by taking some “pills” to make sure her niggle (e.g. brain) didn’t rule her out for the match. Unfortunately, these pills caused a violent reaction in her digestive system. She spent most of the match in the girl’s loo.
We took the kick off and tried to find a hole in the tight Zon defence. Pity, there wasn’t one, although Lav protested that “There are heaps of gaps….if you make a couple of 5+ dodges!”…too true! We couldn’t find a way past. Paris thought she might try and slip through, only to be bashed and gang-fouled into the KO box. A late run by Lav nearly gave him a scoring chance as our offence fell into a heap, but he couldn’t pick up the ball. 0-0 at half time.
Lav moved forward and we tried to hold the Zons back with 9 players. Our SS stood up to the task and dodged their way out of catastrophe. A 1 die block on the ball carrier presented itself for Paris and we took it and got the pow! The ball spilled nicely and we managed to protect it, although we couldn’t control it. Elf Bruisa was lurking, trying to take out the Picnic all by herself and promptly decked The Bill.
Still, we had another shot at the ball carrier, and this time Today Tonight pegged the ball downfield….it didn’t connect with Paris, but it was out of Lav’s reach. Lav tried to stop Paris from grabbing the ball, but Paris dodged away and took the score. 1-0.
Lav had two turns to equalise, and ran players forward. However, this time, we had Brittany on the field. Immediately making her presence known, she dodged through the Zons and chanced a 1-die block on the ball carrier, managing a –AV for her troubles. Twas apothed, but the damage had been done. 1-0 the final result.
Nicely played Lav, best of luck with the rest of the season.

#3 – Elf Bruisa. Lived up to her name, a right royal pain.
#2 - Kidnee Basha. Guard, +MA, she was in the thick of it.
The girls played a very solid defence in the first half, preventing the dark elves from even getting close to the touchdown line. The elves played very conservatively, and didn't manage to break a whole lot of armour.
Half time score: 0-0
Offence didn't go so well for the girls. After securing the ball, they started moving forwards, but were caught up by a couple of side steppers. More than anything, this is what lost us the touchdown - failing to deal with the sidesteppers properly.
A couple of nice plays, but with the ball punted up the field, we were unable to recover it, and the elves scored.
Final score: 0-1

3 pts: Paris Hilton III
Knocked the ball loose, and then went downfield to take the ball in for a touchdown.
2 pts: Shocks
Tied up too many players for too long - opened up a shot on the ball, which came loose, eventually leading to an elf touchdown.
