“A tough match, we had good dice early and managed to CAS several important amazons and further went up 1-0 early on. Poor luck for the amazons continued and it ended the half at 1-0. In the second half we were terrible however, only having 1 tackler and he not being very effective meant that all of the second half we knocked down about 4 players - nothing for injuries. However, the amazons threw in the towel and just ran around and went for the draw - although they did take considerable effort to surf our ST 4 blitzer for a niggle (irony since we finally got a +ST after 50 games with this team and he lasts 1 game...now I doubt any of my players are going to want to get +ST after I treated him so poorly!)
In the end an unsatisfying conclusion as we dominated most of the first half...but Malthor dominated the second half. A draw is correct finish - but we shall look forward to a rematch.

“A tough game against a tough opponent.
The Handicaps were Smelling Salts, Bad Press and Knuckelusters.
The Fire started in offence getting a player advantage early with a foul for a KO. The Fire were soon two players up as the Babes got sent off on their return foul (and I rolled snakes on the foul with +5 on his Witch to not even stun)!
The Fire then became 4 players up as they injured a Babe with a foul, and then their Witch Elf did a two dice against block and got double POWs and a KO....
The Fire then had an 11 to 6 player advantage as their DP caused another casualty. The Ref sent him off, only for the Azure coach to successfully argue the call!
The Babes knocked down the Azure player with the Knuckle Dusters and fouled him, getting Snakes AGAIN and not even stunning...
The Fire went 6 players up as their foul killed the Babe's remaining DP.
The Babes with only 5 players on the pitch pulled back and the Fire scored an easy TD.
The Babes lined up in offence and pushed forward. They were given a lucky break when the Fire went for an early dodge without moving the majority of their team and snaked it.
The Babes were able to consolidate their offensive position and gain a slight advantage. The Babes fired the Short Pass (range 7 Strong Arm AG4 and Accurate) and it was caught on the sidelines, but the would be scorer snaked the GFI to tie the score!
The Fire were able to recover the ball and the Babes were unable to pull off a 4+ 3+ Dodge, GFI Blitz with a 3+ (push/pow) Blitz to chainpush the ball carrier out of bounds and a second GFI and 3+ dodge to run into the end zone to receive the ball after it was thrown back in. In fact, I missed the first 4+ dodge (reroll failed too) so the rest was just theoretical heh.
In the second half, the Babes pushed forwards slowly in offence before spreading out. The Fire fouled (stun), then fouled again (where are you ref) taking out the Babes Str4 Sidestep Tackle Catcher.
The Babes felt they didn't have the ability to only steal the ball and score on Defence so stalled the game (AG3 is sucky you know!). The Babes tried to set up an OOB on the Fire Str4 and failed, but left him in a position where a combination of hits could send him OOB. The Babes used a RR to turn double POWS to get a push to set him up and then tossed him out, causing a niggle.
The Fire's strip ball player was being herded away from the Babes thrower so they sent another player deep into Babes territory, only for the Babes to blitz him into a position where he was also pushed OOB (got a BH, and again rerolled a knockdown with Skull/.Pows to get the push - I wanted the player advantage!).
Seeing the Babes were going to play to just draw, the remaining Fire team rushed into the Babes backfield, forcing them to throw the ball upfield to safety where the Babes tied the scores almost at full time.
The Fire had one turn left to pull off a chain push OT with their MA8 Witch (with another with Frenzy start it off) were unable to pull it off when they got all knockdowns on the second push (and rerolled to 3 knockdowns again).
--------------
A very tough match. I was owned in the first half with some very unbalanced dice rolls - my fouls getting snakes, and getting sent off with my first, my opponent fouling with ref on him to get sent off but arguing, and his fouls causing BH, KO, KO etc.
He had some bad luck around turn 5 when he snaked an early dodge, but the harm could have been reduced by moving more of his players who were in TZs first.
Due to him being out of position, I was able to set up a TD, but snaked the GFI.... I should have been one closer so not needed the GFI so yes it was awful luck that cost me the equaliser but I put myself in that situation.
In the second half, I was soon down m Str4 sidestep Tackler and with 4 rookie linewoman and AG3 all over the place, I didn't think I had much chance of scoring, getting a stop, and scoring myself - not with all his AG5, and Frenzy to defend against as well so I played out for the draw.
My opponent didn't realise this until it was late to force me to try to score and reply again without a chainpush one turn TD and it ended up being a costly draw for both of us.
Guard Linewoman -MA
Dodge Tackle DP Linewoman - Dead
Str4 Dodge DE Blizer - Niggle
Anyways, it was a tough match forcing us both to play strategically and plan carefully. A draw is a fair and satisfactory result after losing my two best players before I got on the scoreboard.”
