“The Dragons had 10 players so when the game opened up with a Blizzard, the advantage immediately went to the Lizzies due to their pace and the removal of any passes longer than a short pass.
The Dragons started on offence, but soon found themselves swarmed by Skinks in the backfield and after a couple of attempts (1 dice blocks) the ball was spilt free and caught by a Skink.
A Dragon was badly hurt early, and my opponent chose to use his apoth on him to try and prevent the game slipping away.
The Lizziies ran the ball downfield and ran down the clock, with the Dragons in hot pursuit. The Dragons tried unsuccessfully to knock the ball free as both teams crowded the sideline.
Finally the Dragons knocked the ball free with a double down (Skull/Pow chosen), killing himself in the process! The ball spilt free to a Dragon on the sideline who was eventually shoved out of bounds and the ball was caught by a Skink who ran in the score. Another Dragon player was Badly Hurt after being shoved into the grandstands during the passage of play.
In the second half, the Lizzies started in offence, and shoved a Dragon out of bounds and with an 11 to 7 advantage were able to shield the ball and hand it off to a Saurus for the score.
WIth limited time left in the game, the Lizzies charged forward on defence on the Dragons' final drive and stole the ball once more and ran in a 3rd TD.
---------------
A very one sided game. My opponent had little luck on the injury rolls, even against my Skinks only getting one KO for the game. The Blizzard took away his passing options and the lucky RIP took a player off the field at a crucial point in the game allowing me to get more 2 dice blocks in (due to more assists being possible) to eventually set up the steal.
My opponent didn't play badly, he just had little to work with, with the dice being unfriendly whereas my rolls were decent with few failed dodges (I didn't try many though) but some great luck in catching a bouncing ball and a throw in from the crowd.”
