This wasn't just a dicing of Bill, it two dicefests even to make it to this game. While I don't think I played any of them badly, I can't say that I outplayed my opponent in any of them, the dice just broke my way: hard.
I made my share of mistakes, most notably an accidental 4+ dodge due to not noticing a zombie that was still standing amid a pile of bodies.
About the only real luck Bill had was with arguing calls with the ref. I think he made 3 in a row. I have a feeling a lot of those arguments were along the lines of "look, he couldn't have fouled, there's not a scratch on that dwarf!"
In reference to my stalling (or inexplicable lack thereof), I tend to be super-careful at it since I'm not all that great at setting up effective stalls. Since I'd been playing good defense all tourney (I gave up 0 points total), I felt safer putting up the points and trying for the stop.
I had a great time in my first tourney, and I'd rematch any of my opponents, since they kinda all deserve one after the luck they had against me.”
This was a smack final I made 7 fouls with DP and at least 3 assist on all of them and I didn't manage to make a single cas, so it is quite impossible to play against a 16 player dorf rooster with ZARA and GRIM.
On the other hand, maysrill played the game the way he should. the only thing I didn't quite get was the early td in first half, he had all the room he needed for a stall til turn 8. but in the end it turned out not to matter at all. I wasn't able to bring the ball unto the dorfs half of the pitch at all. You used zara very well. She was soo much better than the count this game.
Well played and grats on your first tourney win.”
