Real Sociedead end of Divisional Tournament Press Conference, Season 6

Reporter: How exactly do you sum up the tournament and the quite obvious differences between start and finish?

SeraphimRed: What can I say?
The season started terrible taking only two points in 5 games, not to mention that one of our key defenders managed to pick up a niggling injury during training.

All in all, we paid dearly for our Cup run last season, getting to the final took its toll on all of us and the lack of any reasonable Wights, Ghouls - bar the former Karla Larburu (when he showed) - and some missing core skills on the Mummies, was no doubt pivotal in a poor performance.

It has taken time, as any rebuild does, but we’re finally getting capable Ghouls and Wights back into the team and we’re showing a marked improvement in our performance, comfortably winning our last two games.

Reporter: Do you think you’ve done enough to avoid relegation?

SeraphimRed: As usual we were written off again by the press this season, indeed singled out to take bottom place and of course relegation… fact is we’re now 4th and have a degree of confidence that the Pirates will neither win at the Oval Balls camp or at BORCalona and two ties simply won’t be enough. I’m confident.

Reporter: What happened in your game against Houston – did you set out to retire their team?

SeraphimRed: I don’t know what happened to Houston, the season has clearly taken its toll on them. I will say that they left the field of play in better shape than they currently are in so I can only assume that some of their players have gone to pasture or left for higher profile clubs, like Fulham Fleet.

*snigger*

SeraphimRed: As for the allegation of trying to retire the team… preposterous! Why on earth would we want to retire one of the few teams we can rely upon season in and out on giving us three vital points. The team has a reasonable amount of coffers and with a decent cup run may get themselves back in shape for Season 7.

Reporter: So, what if you do get relegated?

SeraphimRed: We may not be title challengers but we are survivors with 63 games played in the league and an unprecedented 6 season run in the Premiership! I really don’t see it happening now, or in the near future.

Reporter: But if you did? There are some rumours that you might leave the League.

SeraphimRed: No, no. Those rumours are all wrong. I have no intention of leaving the OBBA ever! People are confusing me with some elected OBBA Official, SeraphimPink - unrelated, who is leaving the OBBA Administration.
Relegation of Real for either me or the OBBA is not a good thing. What do you think makes the Premiership what it is?
Teams don’t fight their way to the top to prance about with Oval Balls, to lift a soon to be un-prestigious title won by a “special” Orc Coach, and they damn sure don’t fight their way to the top to get mashed by Mummywell!

They come for the opportunity to play us, Real Sociedead! The greatest team that ever graced the Old World!

No one wants to see us relegated from the Premiership.

Wait. That’s a lie… do you know who does want to see us relegated?

Reporter: Who?

SeraphimRed: The teams that will be playing in the Championship next season!

*laughter*

SeraphimRed: This conference is over.

#4 Tommy Jones – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#6 Dragon – Dead (RIP)
#8 Bobby Boswell – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#9 Sidney Bristow – Broken Ribs (MNG)
First five blocks for Undead were: KO, KO, CAS, KO, CAS. Then we managed to fail gfi (used RR) and double skull on block - so Undead blocked (CAS) and fouled (CAS). We then failed dodge for a RIP as well. Not really any point in the game - totally outmatched from the start - gave up handicap and opponent had a star as well. Down to 150 TR and 99 TS after the game.
