On the strategical side:
I agree you kinda leave the scoring part aside, which was a surprise.
End of first half you didn't place a blitzer in scoring range even if this would have been a pretty safe thing to try.
Had you done so you would have scored your 2nd TD middle of 2nd half as u had the opportunity during the match.
This would have led to a 2-2 with 4 turns to play.
With your numerical advantage i think you would have had a good opportunity to try and score the victorious TD.
I'm not telling you how to play of course ;)
But i think i could give you my feelings about the game in general.
