after my Undead didn't manage to score in 1st half they were quite confident, that 5 KOs and 2 Morley's would reduce the numbers enough to be able to score in 2nd half.
getting all 7 players (back) on the pitch on their offensive turn just gave those Norse that kind of frenzy they needed for a final victory - even more so after poor old Violater was niggled :-(

hard fought match, gg by the Norse - congrats!

BTW: Publilius volunteered to start each game at the LOS - he really liked dying - problems he's having thereafter (slow movement, loss of skills) won't be on his mind much, when he's amidst the action.

#13 Publilius Syrus – Dead (RIP)
Our norse face Treborius' undead. They get one handicap, Morley's which strikes a blitzer + our only DP who won't get to play in the first drive.

They start by +6 fouling one of our sacrificial line-norse, for a stun! We counter by +4 fouling a mummy... failing even to break armour! Where's our DP!? They have a nice gap for their +STR ghoul to receive the ball and run away with it... but he can't catch it even with a reroll! This lets us get players around it to make things difficult... but then the +STR ghoul KILLS our only tackler on the pitch - and our apo fails! Ouch!!

We can't recover the ball (apart from it briefly bouncing into a blitzers hands for part of one undead turn) and things start going very wrong for us, a blitzer getting BH'd and 4 of our players dumped into the KO box. With 5 guys left on the pitch we are forced into risky moves, but two -2d blocks pay off and we knock over their STR4 ghoul with the ball! The ball goes into the crowd and they reward us with a diagonal throw back towards the undead endzone. We try our best to use it, at one point holding it for 2 turns, but with just 3 players left by their final turn we can't manage to score. On their last turn they have a chance to get it all the way downfield, but without rerolls that's four 3+ rolls in a row they need to make and they fail on the third.

0-0 and for the second half all FIVE of our KOs have woken up with one roll each!! Thank god! We will now have 11 to field for the 2nd half.. this would have been very painful otherwise.

And we start extremely well, KO'ing a zombie and then gang blitzing their blockless mummy, followed by a gang foul that sees him niggled!!

But all this ganging up means there's a LOT of space for them to rush ghouls through after our ballcarrier (fetching a ball from our own endzone). They line up for the blitz the following turn, but their +STR ghoul trips over, badly hurting himself! Our blitzer with the ball tries to dodge and also falls over- meaning they are able to grab the ball with a nearby ghoul, dodge away.. and almost reach the endzone before they trip up! The ghoul isn't even stunned so we get players back and use our DP to badly hurt him (getting sent off in the process). Now things are looking better for us, and we're able to get the ball all the way upfield with a handoff and a pass (despite being out of rerolls) - meaning it's time for zombie dodge + 1d blitzes as their only hope of stopping us... and between skulls and failed dodges they can't do it! We score to secure the win on our final turn!

GG Treborius - it was making 7 4+ rolls at half time that kept us in it!
