“A rematch with the 187 Boyzz, and it wasn't any easier than last time. We didn't get quite as banged up, but we didn't win this one either.

First half started with our boys on the Defense, and though we had some idea what to expect, the boners still seemed to catch us off our guard. Their playing was as hard-hitting as ever, though the lads have learned to take a hit by now and didn't hurt themselves as badly. But the dirty dead had another plan to make sure the lads stay down: they played very very dirty during the first half, and no matter how our staff tried to tell the refs there was foul play going on, they would not believe. The first half was nearly over and half the boys had been carried off the pitch with minor injuries before the spineless hobgoblin of a ref found the nerve to punish the 187 Boyzz for their dirty deeds. And so, the first half ended with 3 Stoppers in the hospital, and 2 knocked out on the side of the pitch, and the 187 Boyzz leading 1-0.

The 2nd half didn't look promising at all, with just 9 dwarves left against a full team of Khemrian skeletons. The boys started their drive in grand fashion, however, with Nyrath Orchammer hammering down a mummy right off the line. His example really roused the Stoppers, and indeed they drew the game halfway through the period. The 187 Boyzz still had more than enough time to score the game-winning 2nd touchdown, so the lads best keep alert. And did they ever! They started the defense with a blitz, knocking down a mummy and sending a runnner past the Khemrian line to put pressure on the Thro-Ras. The Stoppers' ferocity did little to deter the boners, though, and soon enough they had the ball caged up near the Line, ready to advance into a scoring position. But our boys did not give them so much as an inch, bogging them down with stubborn determination. And their determination bore fruit. The 187 Boyzz were forced to expose their ball carrier, and our brave lads made the most of it: they blitzed the ball carrier down and secured the ball, as well as sealing the result as a tie.

After the pounding they received in the first half, it's almost a miracle, and certainly a testament to their both their skill and their will to fight, that the Stoppers pulled off the tie tonight. You can bet they'll be feeling this game for a good while, but they can be very proud of tonight's performance.”
