#5 Flavius Aetius – Broken Ribs (MNG) #5 Flavius Aetius – Smashed Knee (NI)
“We're up against lewdgrip's dwarves. There's just 11 of them so if we can remove any it will be very helpful!
Their first foul of the day sees their only DP sent off and our mino niggled- though our apo saves. They then put the beatdown in as we try desperately to hurt something, but repeated mino pilings on just can't achieve anything. They niggle our stand firm blitzer and KO a couple of norse while moving the ball through. On turn 7 a longbeard can't catch the handoff for a skillup TD and on their last turn their runner fails the pickup so it's 0-0 going into halftime!
And we start well- badly hurting two dwarves on our first turn (following a pitch invasion and a touchback giving the ball to our minotaur). They will have just 8 to defend against us now. Our mino gets slightly out of position when a blitz to move him rolls a 1, and they're able to blitz him down with their STR4 runner and grab the ball and run into our half. But not for long as we smack him down and turn the rest of the match into a brawl around the ball in the middle. Eventually when no one is able to dominate the game ends 0-0.”
