“On a perfect day for blood bowl, 71,000 fans turned out to watch Mort Avaritia claw through the Nard Harpies who were missing Ogre #12 Zaphod Vanx.
Match Highlights
Xtag Greatbone clocked up 10 fouls for the match, sadly these were probably some of the most pathetic fouls in his career.
Pulled off not 1 but 2 throw team mate plays, both ending touchdowns. The Nard Harpies sure know how to fling ……… goblins.
#4 Tenukz Evilchain was seriously injured and was dropped from the team to become an assistant coach for newly recruited goblins.
Coach MachSphere had these things to say after the match:
“Basically our game plan was to let them score as quickly as possibly while the team focused on taking them apart. I had high expectations of Xtag, who though maliciously fouling for most of the match, didn’t give any of them a ticket to the undertaker. It’s good to see the new comer Gar Madbrain take some initiative to call over an Ogre to fling him through the air. Overall I’m fairly happy with the result, I really wasn’t expecting a win but to at least score twice, is showing that teams are needing to take these guys a little more seriously than in our first season.””
