#15 The Hungriest Lizard – Dead (RIP)
The Lizards were top of the list again, and were forced into playing down. The machine told them their best opponent was a group of wood elves. All that the Lizards said when coach WindexChugger told them about their next game was "Yum."

And the Fourth Angriest Lizards, the only lizard on the team with any tackle, had skilled up in might blow (without aging) ...he was a elf killing machine now.

The elves sported four major players.

Mush Room: A Treeman with block...coach Wreckage would use him without fear.
Treibgut: A +Str lineman, the only elf on the team that could contend with the Lizards' strength.
Tea: A block/tackle/Mighty Blow elf...the skinks would have to be kept away from him.
Baldrain: A +Ag/strip ball wardancer, by far Maximum Fragile's most dangerous asset against the lizards. Nowhere was safe with him.

Unfortunately, even before the game started, things were going poorly. Maximum Fragile had bribed the ref: the first time he called them out, he would not force them to leave the game. Not only that, but the Fourth Angriest Lizard had been drugged, and was acting very boneheadedly...he would be less reliable.

As the Lizards marched on to the pitch, the discovered that it was pouring rain. No sauri ball handlers today. They won the coin toss and chose to receive: a costly decision.

The kick...crazy fans! A pitch invasion! Three of the Lizards and on elf go down. But the kick is good, it lands right next to the Lizards' intended ball carrier. The Papa Lizard fails his bonehead roll, and then the ball is too slippery to pick up. Two of Minimum Fragile's line is still standing; things aren't going good.

Elves pour into the back field, making a play for the ball...successfully. The elves pin all the sauri behind the line...they will be unable to assist the skinks in gaining possession of the ball.

The skinks try their best, getting a two die block on the ball carrier...but even with a reroll are unable to get the Pow they need. Failing this, the Lizards kill Mush Room, Minimum Fragile's tree. The elven apothecary rushes onto the field and manages to revive Mush Room.

Knowing they would be unable to stall, the elves score. Coach Wreckage stated between drives that the touchdown was a high price to pay. Loosing their apothecary would be costly.

Lizards lined up again, praying for better luck this drive. Again, the crowd goes crazy! They invade the pitch, stunning 5 lizards and 2 elves. Half of the Lizards' line is broken by the invasion...things are looking bad. Still, the Lizards manage to knock down Minimum Fragile's line and bring the ball forward.

A two die blitz, with reroll, is unable to bring down the Lizards' ball carrier. The skink is, however, pinned down by 4 or 5 elves. Things are going better, however. Five of the Lizards' previously stunned players get up to help the ball carrier. The ball is safely moved...though it is rather unprotected.

Minimum Fragile's Baldrian, the leaping strip baller, moves for the ball. His leap fails, though, and he crashes to the ground. Using this opening, the Lizards strike hard.

Treigbut, Minimum Fragile +str lineman, is knocked out. Only one elf is standing, and the ball is moved forward. The one elf is, however, enough to break the ball free. The ball bounces out, but most of the elves' time is spent standing up and moving free of any lizard's reach.

The Lizards move, covering most of the elves. The ball is knocked into the open, but a failed dodge leaves the ball open.

The elves scramble...one more TD would mean the game, especially with the elves receiving the second half. The ball is picked up and moved to safety. Minimum Fragile shows the Lizards that they mean business, and they kill The Hungriest Lizard. Deciding that a saurus' life was more important than the -AV skinks', Coach WindexChugger makes the sacrifice and leaves the apoth on the bench.

Nuffle watches over The Fourth Angriest Lizard, it seems. Without a reroll to cover him, the star saurus is able to shake back the 'stupid' drug, makes a 4+ break tackle dodge and stuns the ball carrier. The ball bounces straight into his open arms, and he catches it!

The elves do their best, but are unable to stop the Fourth Angriest Lizard from scoring.

Minimum Fragile do their best to score a one turn touchdown, going so far but failing during a dodge through the Lizards' line of defense.

Coach WindexChugger knew that victory was unlikely, but a draw was easily within reach. They needed to force the elves into a quick TD and then score themselves in the last turns of the game.

The two teams line up for the second half. The fans have quieted down, and the half starts without incident. Minimum Fragile's opening foul results in a stun. The Lizards show Minimum Fragile how to hurt people, and badly hurt an elf in a block.

The elves knock out two skinks, and the Lizards respond by badly hurting another elf. The elves have gotten past the Lizards' line...but that is what the Lizards were hoping for. They squeeze the elven formation until the elves are forced to score.

The Lizards have a great opening push for the next drive. They knock out two elves, seriously injure Minimum Fragile's Baldrian, and badly hurt the tree in a foul. Elves are dropping everywhere. The ref does, however, see the Lizards foul play against Minimum Fragile's tree, and calls out the offending skink. A very good trade in coach WindexChugger's eyes.

Coach Wreckage lost it then. He sent most of the elven team to destroy a single saurus...but only manage to badly hurt him. The Lizards fight back, and the Papa Lizard even manages to not hurt himself on a multiblock(only pushes, though.) The Lizards move the ball towards the endzone and began to run down the clock. More elves fall to the power of the Lizards. In the final moments of the game, the Lizards score.

It was a great game for the Lizards. It started off horribly, with the Lizards getting the worse side of two pitch invasions. But soon the elves AV7 wore down and the Lizards had the advantage. Money was finally spent, the Lizards replaced the Hungriest Lizard. The Fans loved the way the Lizards beat up the elves, apparently, and awarded them with a FF.

A tie was easily acceptable with the way the game started. You played much better, but those snakes on the leap kind of ended your hope in the first half. From there, things went downhill.

Rematch anytime, Wreckage.
