An out-of-bounds opening kickoff led to Freshwater Captain Larry Lacoste carrying the ball the length of the field for an easy score. Big props to Immortal Panza for attempting a saving tackle, despite being half Larry's size and surrounded by the terrible lizards!
On the ensuing kickoff, the Felons blitzed into Immortal territory, surrounded the ball, and scored again with relative ease.
...should I really continue?
The Felons gave up their first TD of the season, as Gutter Runner Panza evaded a block by Smiley Joe and slipped past him going down the sidelines. Much of the blame goes to coach JKB for sending his skinks towards the end zone, anticipating a turnover...although it isn't likely they would have helped against that quick little guy.
POST GAME NOTES:
The Smash Lad has been hitting the weights hard, and it's starting to show results. There's some definite improvement in his hitting technique, should be bringing more foes to their knees in upcoming games.
Lonesome Eddy, who garnered team MVP in this last game, learned how to reach out and dive after his opponents - the skill proved useful for Ugly Rat Snatcher against these Skavens.
The team has also been responding well to coaching. We'll be able to recover from more on-field mistakes (via re-roll!).”
