Handicaps -

Smelling Salts
Doom and Gloom
Bad Press
Morley's Revenge (didn't work)

A tough game for the Babes giving up four handicaps to a very agile team. Doom and Gloom proved the match breaker in the first half as the Babes ran out of rerolls and were under massive pressure. A 4+ reroll dodge was failed and the ball was lost (if I made that dodge, I had a 3+ safe throw long bomb, or 2+ long pass) and the Assassins took the lead.

Nothing much worked for the Babes in the first half, with their power Catcher/Blitzer Natalie Portman injured early.

In the second half, the Assassins were too confident early and sent the ball forward to a Gutter Runner without Block, hoping to screen him with a wall of Rats. However, Catherine Bell (AG5 Stand Firm) dodged through, knocked down the rat and recovered the ball!

Ashley Judd (AG4 Guard) then dodged her way to give Catherine Bell support and together they were able to defend against the one dice blitz.

Catherine Bell used her agility to dodge a diving tackler and throw the ball upfield where it was dropped (reroll failed grrrr).

The Assassins chased, and again Catherine Bell recovered the ball and threw it downfield, this time the ball was caught (another RR, geez AG3 sucks).

The Assassins had two Gutter Runners against two Amazon Blitzers and the end result was two stunned Gutter Runners allowing the Babes to stall out the half leaving the Assassins with a one turn TD to win the match.

A quick snap on the final drive helped the Assassins immensley, but they put a player in the wrong spot taking away one of the easier chain push options! A reroll was used (double skulls) and then the Assassins were unable to get a push (Skull/Pow and Skull) to push their Gutter Runner to within sprint range of the end zone.

With 1 turn left also for the Babes, they did a T16 foul for the +1 modifier on the FF roll and got a BH, but lost a FF anyway!
------------
Was a good match in the end, with each team dominating one half. A bit more luck for either team and the result could have been a victory each coach so 1-1 is a fair result all up.

Good match report.
And indeed, I was very lucky first half.
Second half I played stupid. And just thought about it, I was even more stupid than I thought. Why didn't I just go to the side where no ag5 blitzer was? :)

Well, a tie was fair.

See you again,
