“Super amounts of luck helped me pull off an exciting upset. In these two teams 4th meeting, things were looking a little different.
The chaos had just suffered a humiliating loss, resulting in the loss of 3 of their best players. With only 10 men to field, and the only offers forthcoming being dwarves or bashy chaos with full rosters, the chaos decided to grock one out with the Terrifying Anarchists once again.
At the start of the match things looked bleak for the chaos, almost all of the decrepit dark elf team showed up for the match, and looked ready to strut their usual high flying antics. However the chaos coach Acheron_Styx was sneaky enough to grease the shoes of Alexander Lurkman, the darkies star thrower just before the elves took the field.
The opening kickoff resulted in a 6 turn riot, because the chaos fans were screaming for revenge ( and maybe a bit of redemption after their last horrible showing ). The darkies made a hard push up the near sideline, and had several players in scoring position for the next turn. That's when the unthinkable happened ( or did it? ). Star thrower Alexander Lurkman FUMBLED the pass...EvolveToAnarchism was shocked! Lurkman hadn't done something like that in years! Right about then is when the darkies noticed Acheron's underhanded plan, but it was too late and the half ended.
The 2nd half started out as most of the kickoffs these two teams have had, with the darkies getting a blitz. This didn't suprise either coach, as the Anarchists are noted for their blitz defence. Everything looked in place for a quick elf score, but the rain and the bouncing ball proved to be too much for the elves to handle. A few key blocks and some tremendous luck later, the ball ended up in the hands of rookie chaos warrior Lamont Midnight. Lamont's ball handling skills ( and blocking skills ) proved to be poor, and he soon was flat on his back with the ball lying on the pitch next to him. The next turn, the other more experienced chaos warriors showed the rookie how to get it done. Unholy and Wolf Steelstorm both knocked down their defenders, and then the nasty beastman Xyeeguutl came in and clobbered a 3rd defender, sending the ball into Steelstorm's hands. A few unlucky dodges later, and a lovely handoff to chaos warrior Midnight, proved to be the end of the match.
Thanks to EvolveToAnarchism for giving me a great game, and I'm looking foward to the next time we meet, and my luck isn't so good.”
