Grindfest.

The way things played out it really should have been 2-0, but pointless SPP farming at the end of the first half (having stolen the ball) lost the opportunity. The second half was an inevitable slow advance towards the Dragons' line with accompanying T16 score for the win.

The game started well for the Dragons - collecting the ball and immediately sending one of the Heads zombies to the dugout (BH, regenerated) and getting the ball to hand in a protected location. However things quickly went wrong on their next push when a throw failed to reach its intended target. The Heads swarmed forward and secured the ball, knocking elves over and out all over the place and leisurely strolling up towards the score only to stall and play sillyb****rs when an unecessary hand-off scattered into the crowd and the ball was returned to the field around the LOS, in the midst of the still-upright elves.

Thankfully they were unable to profit (failed pickup in T8) and the half ended scoreless despite a a wight's attempt at elfballing.

With the elves undermanned for the second half it was a procession, the ball secured on a touchback and caged upfield, taking out the majority of the elves on its way there. Some valliant attempts to prevent - or at least force a diceroll for - the score were made but all came to nought when having successfully blitzed out the guarding player an elf stunned himself tripping over his feet closing on scorer Sartin.

I would like to think I learned my lesson about playing it unecessary during an otherwise perfectly safe stall but only time will tell.

WildSeven was a good sport throughout, not once complaining about the odds or tactics employed and merely commenting on how Elf-school isn't teaching ball skills very well. (I can only agree from my experiences with elf teams! :D)

Luck favoured me, even in my errors. Nuffle be praised.
