“Turned out not to be much elfballing here. 2-0 feels about right to me as a result but the 60+% luck hides the fact just 2 of 9 KOs recovered for the Amateurs.

Granted, had I scored rather than stalled the numbers may have come back more but since stepping up to the Pro plate these elves are all about securing the result when the opportunity arises, largely because they do not expect it to very often!

First half, the Amateurs having elected to receive, Erhabenen blitzed and got under the kick. But their man was isolated and soon fell under heavy assault. The Amateurs stole the ball back and made their way upfield, injuring a few of their dark cousins on the way and positioning themselves between the opponent and the ball with efficiency worthy of the Pros they are not before scoring in T8.

Second half poor luck for Erhabenen let the Amateurs in for a pickup, and they stormed downfield, again stalling for time. A flood of Amateur linemen leaving the field unconscious was enough to force the score, and with just 6 Amateurs fit to line up for the restart an unlikely recovery looked as though it may be on for Erhabenen. Bloodlust got to them though, and in looking to take out yet more of the Amateur's players, Kotoku managed to get himself killed in viscious retalliation. The Ams then secured the ball again, and thought to try for an unlikely third but it was not to be as Heizei intercepted the pass for the attempt. There was not enough time for the Dark Elves to make anything of the posession however, and the game ended shortly after when on their last drive the Ams could not force the ball free.

A fun game for me. Dice did not favour my opponent though (despite my lousy KO rolls) and it ended up pretty uneven as a result.”
