“The Halibut-smelling 'Flings were unlucky to lose this, as the Beers were out-coached. Deciding to score not stall out the 2nd half for a 2-1 win almost proved costly as a Tree wanged one of the little people up for a OTT score. But in so doing it allowed just enough time for the Beers to regroup and in their final turn they pplayed a little elf-ball and brought in the win.

First half was absurdly unlucky for both sides; the beers couldn't get a POW and the Flings were going backwards and down in number throughout - until the dice gave them a break, and the lack of POWs on covering players allowed a plucky fling to reach his arboreal friend, be thrown downfield and score. As would be repeated in the second half though the timing was such that the Beers could equalise before receiving the Kickoff at the start of the second.
