The angry asgardians, caught up in the wash of retirement rumours came out and played as hard and as well as we've ever seen them.

The game started fairly normally. The seekers hired a wiz hoping to make the game easy before the killer round coming next. Both sides tussled for a couple of turns and the Seekers went in early for a 1-0 lead. That usually isn't the Seekers' style, but they had the surety of knowing a wiz was backing them up (when did they get so foolish!).

Then the Asgardians hammered. From the kickoff, the next three turns turned the game into a full scale war and mighty struggle for the seekers. The Asgardians hammered through the Seekers armour no less than 11 times in those three turns, causing two injuries and four knockouts in the process. The wiz flung a lightning bolt, but that too ended in tears as the Seeker's ball playing legend, Archaic Angstrom spilled the ball twice in the blink of an eye. 1-1 and suddenly the Asgardians looked good to cause an upset.

The game went back and forth, but still it wasn't over. Just as it looked like the asgardians would secure a 3-1 lead, Asgardian's Elf, Patrician, dodged through a ruck extending near a quarter of the field...and if that was too easy for the pundits, he decided to do it with a shadowing blitzer on his heels! Stole the ball and launched it for a td. 2-2 and the game was still on!

With body parts flying everywhere, the final fling of the game looked set for the seekers, but the drama wasn't done with yet as two of the seekers slammed their skulls into the ground in the space of a heartbeat. You can't cover very well when your blockers fall flat on the ground and so a big opening was left for the asgardians. They set up the play on the ball and launched a furious blitz at Extrapolated Eructation. But he refused to give up the ball and the Seekers snuck home...
