“The Wreckage Ratz entered the game two players down after losing warpstone-enhanced gutter runner, Syphultrash to a chainsaw in the previous match, and also with linerat Cuspidor nursing a niggling injury. The Ratz won the toss and elected to kick.

The Mighty Destroyers managed to form a cage in fairly short order, but soon had it stall out near the line of scrimmage as they were unable to advance it as they were bogged down by the Ratz' line. Eventually rookie storm vermin, Bilgewaste, managed to blitz the ball carrier, but soon suffered a retaliatory crowd push by Stompy Da Fist and was summerily beaten up by the angry, drunken crowed. Bilgewaste escaped, but not without a pinched nerve and will have to sit out the next game.

The Destroyers recoved the ball, only to have it be popped loose again, and the Ratz failed to gain possession as the clock ran out on the half.

The Ratz, now down to 7 healthy players set up to receive the 2nd half kickoff against the full complement of Destroyers. Scuppers, the storm vermin, managed to smash a hole in the Destroyers' defences (not to mention longbeard Gota Mangle's hand) and quickly three ratz poured through. Blackwater, the thrower, connected to Gangrechank, the gutter runner, on the subsequent play, and Gangrechank ran it in for a 1-0 lead.

But the lead would not hold. First, angry Destroyer fans beat up the referee. Then the Ratz tried to blitz on the following kickoff, but failed to recover their own kick. The Destroyers took advantage of the missing ref and tried to get in a couple cheap shots. With fewer Ratz on the field (and indeed, most of them lying prone), Manda Mangle was able to waltz into the endzone for 1-1 tie on turn 4.

The Ratz were now down 5 to 9. Despite the odds, Gangrechank broke free and managed to get down field, however, Blackwater had the ball deep in his own territory. As a result, Gangrechank ran a short route on the following play as Blackwater ran forward to connect, and the remaining Ratz formed a mini cage around him. Despite the odds, victory seemed assured. But then Gongfermor missed a blocking assignment on the 3rd turn of the drive, alowing the Destroyers to hit Gangrechank and knock the ball loose. It was quickly recoverd by Hive Abiged the runner, who managed to hold on until the final seconds ticked away.”
