“Our new chaos vs arv9673's new orcs. A funny mirror matchup where neither of us has any guys with block, sure hands, or an apo and we both have a troll. They do have 4x STR4 and AV9 across the board though..
We kick off and immediately get swamped by a pitch invasion that stuns 4 beastmen and 1 orc. They secure the ball (unconventionally via the crowd) and move forwards. On turn 3 we finally have all our beastmen back and we reposition to contain the orcs - our troll also manages to MNG one of the black orcs: result!
A couple of turns later and the two teams are wrestling for the ball around the centre, and one of their line-orcs has been badly hurt in a both-down block. They foul first on turn 5 and we foul back the next turn, getting a beastman sent off! The ball still hasn't moved much, as they pick it up several times and we keep knocking it over. On turn 7 we're able to finally bounce it out (and just about grab it) but they blitz us down. Turn 8 and we have an outside chance at scoring, as we knock down the orc with the ball and then have to pick up in a tackle zone, dodge and hand off to our waiting beastman (RR available) - though it fails on the dodge!
2nd half and it's 0-0 with 10 of us vs 9 of them. We push forwards with the ball, getting through on one side while a massive foul war has started between the two teams. Both teams foul every turn for 3 turns, resulting in a BH orc and a KO'd beastman before we score on turn 4. Our KO sleeps on so we have 9 vs their 8.
A deep kick followed by a both-down result gives us space to run through and we swarm the backfield with beastmen before they reach the ball. But a great 2nd turn by the orcs sees their surrounded orcs in the centre punch a little space while the two at the back pick up the ball and pass it right over our heads and into their ready made cage!!
Fortunately it's a bit hastily constructed and rough at the edges- so we can mark a couple players and blitz in with horns to knock over the ball. The ball bounces out but we're out of rerolls now we just can't get it upfield as the orcs defend tenaciously (MNG'ing a beastman at one point) til time runs out.
