“Without the hitting power of Kegster Clyde to bolster their line, Carlton should nevertheless have been confident of a good result from this match. Mammalians were suffering from several injuries themselves and could not even start with a full squad.

Carlton's historical lack of performance against these damnable elves was maintained however and Mammalians scored quickly in the first. Carlton were scared and attempted, with success, to reduce the elf numbers further by beating their way to half time.

The second half was more free flowing and saw two more touchdown scored by each of the two teams, Carlton's equaliser coming in the dying seconds and attributed to the heroic efforts of Dave Vigil and Gordon Lau.

At least we managed a draw against these damn fairies. Even Wood Elves beat on us? Pah!
