“A win but at what cost.
The 'Dukes' recorded there first ever win in BloodBowl today after a 3-1 win at Wissnelander, but the socre line flattered the flaunding Dukes as there battered at the line of scrumage by the 'Big Man' Ghusk Ironjaw who squashed fellow Ogre Ram into the astrogranite floor, shattering his skull and leaving the Duchie players with there 1st funeral to attend.
The match started in fine fashion for the Dukes with the ever improving chucker, Webbe Cross connecting with quick receiver Bruce Letice for the opening score. Soon later some hard work paid off with Schlueter cross the white wash as pick the ball up in loose play and grinding out the hard yards.
But half time the Dukes where out of there feet habing been battered by the far more aggresive Whirlwinds forward line. There score came with some nice work down the left flank and was finished by 'Crazy' Stefan.
As The Whirlwinds heavily blitzed to try and secure draw, Webbe Cross broke out of the pocket, handed off to Schlueler who waltzed through an empty back field to score, and make the victory look more one sided than it should.
Posatives for the Dukes.
Webbe Cross and Bruce Letice - making a decent connection
Finished all three chances presented. 100% drive sucsess
Schlueter could be one to watch out for in the future.
Negatives.
Lack of size up front is going to be more visable now the Ram has left us. May fans saying good ridance as he only made a few block in the two games.
Rumour has is that the Dukes have already found a suitable replacement and have opted for a more flexable appraoch rather than brute power. Only time will tell if this is to the key to victory.”
