Having advanced from round 1 in style our khemri face Cribble + his necros. They have 2 speeeeeeedy werewolves plus the count vs all our mummy power + ramtut. This is going to be tough to win I think - lets hope we get the early cas we need!

They get I am the greatest as their handicap so we can't field all 4 mummies.. ouch! This could royally mess us up.

W kick and roll up a perfect defence that lets us put mummies all over the LOS to mess up their first turn. They use their RR to dodge a wolf away but then manage to roll double skulls with his blitz! We've generally totally messed up their attack, and while the count has the ball they are still in trouble. They run their +MA wolf through and then dodge him away from markers to the endzone. The count then dodges past a couple of players and GFIs twice to get in long pass range... but trips despite a RR!

We grab the ball and run downfield, but the necros are doing excellently as our DP is sent off stunning a wolf and their counter foul badly hurts our 3rd best mummy - down to just 2 on field at once for the game! And we can't contain the count at all as he rampages back, seizing the ball and dodging around for his life. They have a chance to score on turn 8 with a wight waiting downfield to receive, but a failed GFI by a wolf to prevent a crowdpush (after tossing a zombie out) means the half will end 0/0.

2/2 of our zombies wake up vs 0/4 of their KOs (including the count who was finally knocked over and out on our turn 8!) means they have 9 vs our 11. Lucky us!

We blitz ramtut through the line to knock over a werewolf, but fail to hurt him, and he's a little alone in there and they are able to dodge blitz a flesh golem to 1d block him over (with a RR) and then gang foul him for a KO! They continue smacking us around while we have huge trouble doing anything more than a KO on their players. They surround the ball carrier and we're forced into doing a 4+ dodge and 1d blitz to get him to safety, but it's not enough as we just don't have enough mummies on the pitch to keep him safe. They knock us over again and again, and get the ball downfield at one point with a werewolf, though we are able to recover. We try our best to make a final turn TD with our thro-ra but he fails the toss twice.

*** OVERTIME ***
Once again their KO box proves almost inescapable as only 1 / 5 wakes up!! Ramtut wakes up for us so it's 11 vs 8 and they have to kick. These KO rolls should really have made the game easy for us but good defending has meant we have simply not been able to get anywhere. And this continues as a 2d block failure sees one of our skeletons SI'd (regen) and they crowdpush a blitz-ra to make the numbers almost even.

They then manage to isolate the ball carrier, knock him over with a 1d blitz, then dodge with a wolf to pick it up in a TZ and dodge away- luckily he trips on a GFI stunning himself!! But we cover him badly, leaving him a space to dodge and blitz over our thro-ra who has now recovered the ball, though fortunately he KO's himself dodging on after it. But time is running out! We have just 2 turns to try and get the ball right the way upfield. It's going to be a skeleton-to-skeleton throw with no rerolls... we need a 5+ to make it... and fail!

And the necros advance on a cointoss. Well played Cribbleobblepie! An extremely frustrating match for both of us all the way through!!
