“Eeesh. I've had one of those days at work (which I'm sure will come back to bite me on the ass if anyone downloads the black box recorder on a certain train :-( ) then I figure I'll chill out with a game of BBowl. Hmmm. Blitz at start. Not good. What followed was an excellent series of autopows (tm) for my opponent - in short I got my ass kicked all over the field in the first half. I didn't play well enough to score, but got into a sure fire uncontested scoring position in turn 8... and instead went for a 2 dice block on a witch elf which had been a pain all game. That failed.
So did a lot of my blocks, skulls, etc but mostly block/pows - highlighting the severe lack of block. maybe should have gone with blitzers instead of BOBs. Oh well.
A fine series of dodging moves saw the Elves in a position to score - in fact their dodging, GFI, pass, blocking, even their fouling which ref turned a blind eye to, were all useful,
For my part I gave a bad kicked ball to the troll and he had me sweating late on with a really stupid fail. Eventually he figured he'd move when he had 3 assists to point the right direction, and I scraped the draw. I don't think I deserved it, but this is 3rd game on trot where I've been outpowed (tm) and a draw is sure as hell better than a loss. I'll take it.
Luck is out - somewhat - game had to be reloaded, and I lost out on a pow when doing so, but just glad it worked.
Jury is out on this orc team. No mng which is good, but they hit like fairies and fold like paper so need to toughen up or face the long walk of shame to retirement.
The Dark Elves got good spp all round, should do well if they stick to this style of play - beat other side up, try n foul em off the field and chuck the ball about a bit. Seems to work well.
Thx for the game, I'm just glad its over! Dare I try for another today, or am I jinxed today? Oh wait, midnight has passed, I should be ok :D”
