#8 Captain Comic – Dead (RIP) #13 Alex Kid – Dead (RIP)
“Fun and challenging game against a fairly aggressive opponent, but...
My apothecary failed when my +Ag lineman was killed :(
Later on my thrower was killed as well :(
I didn't really hurt any of my opponents mean elves in return either :(
My opponent had the block skill on all of his elves, and none with the dodge skill. It was interesting to see how this worked in practice. My conclusion is that dodge is vital for an elf team, and at least half of my elves should take dodge before block. Also, 1 player with blodge is far better than, say, 3 players with block (at least when no tackle is present). It will be interesting to see if developing a team with this in mind is successful in the long term...
Anyways, good luck LoxleyAndy with those cursed do-goeder elves.
“Have to agree that my opponent certainly showed me why dodge was better than block and deserved his 3-1 win. Will definitely be mixing more dodge in to my first choice skills in future (rather than 2nd choice on every lineman).
Quite unlucky with injury rolls - two RIPS, one SI, no BH - coupled with a failed apo makes for quite a painful result.
A very interesting match up between two teams with very similar stats, etc, but developed quite differently - I certainly learned a lot even though I lost.
Good luck replacing those two RIPs.
