“Luck reading is out and replay might not fully work as opponent dropped out for a second on my turn 6 in the first half when the luck was 49-65 in his favour.
The Mouseketeers started in offence and were set up for a great stall but snaked the GFI to bring their Gutter Runner out of range, and he dropped the ball!
The Mousketeers were in a position to recover as they had two Gutter Runners nearby, one with Dauntless but a snakes on a dodge ended the Mouseketeers turn again (two turns in a row ended after moving only 1 or 2 players).
With the Mouseketeers so disadvantaged, the Selfish Elfish were able to pick up the ball and run in for a TD without even needing a dodge (just 3 GFI over 2 turns though).
With 3 turns to reply, the Mouseketeers pushed one way then across the other. The Elfish made a 3+ 2+ dodge and a couple of GFI to get a two dice block without tackle on a rookie Gutter Runner and the ball was knocked loose. The Mousketeers recovered however and scored a TD with some 2+ pick up, pass, catch action to level the scores.
The Elfish started the second half in offence and set up a TD play, they just needed to avoid an intercept to make a 2+ catch (with catch reroll) and 2+ dodge (with Dodge reroll) to take the lead. However the Mouseketeers got the lucky intercept and ran the ball downfield, and stalled with it for the rest of the half to run out 2-1 winners.
-----------
A tough tough match. First half, I had really cruddy dice, and was down 4 players (3 KO and a BH) as I lost the ball from a strong posiition to go 0-1 down. Second half, I got the lucky intercept and held him off. Who knows what might have happened if there was no intercept.
At the end of the day, no permanent injuries or FF loss for either team and we both got some advances so a good outing on the pitch.”
